The politics swirling around us can be overwhelming and a reason to duck and cover from it all. But, as the old saying goes, “If you don’t do politics, politics will do you.” And that has to do with just about everything, including Musk’s crew of computer geeks going through all our data on the Department of the Treasury servers and also BART.
What?? BART? What’s that got to do with BART? Well, there is a former Fox News guy, Sean Duffy, who is now head of the Department of Transportation. And…he has no background in transportation. He knows about cars and trucks and likes them. But he doesn’t have much use for trains and buses. And he parroted Trump’s absurd statement about the recent collision of a military helicopter and passenger plane in D.C. He doesn’t see the need for public mass transit as he doesn’t think climate disruption is real.
We’ve got to do politics or politics will do us.
