As part of the latest saga of things not working at Highland, the cafeteria got completely filled with smoke a couple weeks ago.
Why? The vent hood malfunctioned and wouldn’t suck up any smoke. Had foodservice workers known it wasn’t working well, would likely cause issues, and told management? Yep.
Equipment should be fixed right the first time, with no shortcuts. We can’t have our hospital cafeteria filling up with smoke, putting folks with respiratory issues at risk every time a burger gets cooked on the grill.
