What can we learn from recent uprisings around the world?

Amidst global recessions and housing crises, increased militarization, and the rise of the far right, we saw during the decade 2010-2020 what seemed like massive, spontaneous mobilizations from Brazil, to Hong Kong, to Egypt, and around the world.

While substantial, these movements did not lead to the changes they set out to, and journalist Vincent Bevins’ book, If We Burn: The Mass Protest Decade and the Missing Revolution, explores why that is.

Join us for a presentation, via Zoom, and discussion with Bevins discussing the lessons learned from the decade of protests from 2010-2020 and how we can organize to win today.
