Youth and workers in struggle across Europe

{This article is part of a “Special Report” published by the New Anticapitalist Party-Revolutionaries (NPA-R) in France (translated from French), published in Revolutionaries No. 66, Nov. 1, 2026}

Bangladesh, Nepal, Morocco, the Philippines, Madagascar, Iran, India… the movement of revolt against a present and future of poverty and authoritarianism is international.

It is currently sweeping across Europe, from Belgium to Portugal, from Greece to France, passing through Albania, Serbia, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with many similarities in demands, methods of action, and government responses… With all due respect to the politicians and journalists who wanted to portray the French high school student movement as a “manipulation” by the far left or LFI, or as a youth incapable of understanding the reality of the world and military or budgetary necessities.

On the contrary, “Generation Z” is demonstrating that it has clearly understood it will achieve nothing without massive and determined struggles, by rallying workers.

This movement challenges the power of bosses and shareholders — who are not accountable to any democratic election—and capitalism, which can only survive by waging wars of competition and predation, and which threatens the planet itself.
For our living conditions today, as well as for building the world of
tomorrow, our struggles know no borders!
