North Carolina: A Defendant from the Minnesota 15 Speaks on Resisting ICE and Federal Repression (Sat., Sep. 26)

Saturday, September 26
11:30 am at the Carrboro Arts Center
400 Roberson St.
Carrboro, NC 27510

Tens of thousands of people came together in January 2026 to resist the ICE occupation of the Twin Cities. Four of them visited the Triangle last April to discuss their experiences.

In June, the federal government indicted fifteen people in Minnesota on conspiracy charges, including some of the people who visited here. They stand accused of defending their community from ICE.

On September 26, one of the defendants will return to the Triangle to speak about the court case, exploring the federal government’s latest attempt to criminalize political organizing, the revelations about mass surveillance that the case has brought to light, and what we can learn about the prospects for social change.

Participants in the Triangle Minnesota 15 Defense Coalition will offer ways to get involved locally.

Additional events in Durham and Raleigh to be announced shortly!
