An Ode to Capitalism

From an Oakland Kaiser Worker

You have me as an essential worker

You have me ‘til death do us part

from work

“Essential” – you call me

Dispensable – you make me feel

BUT

I know deep in my veins

You are nothing without me

OR anything without the workers you depend on to make you money

Through thick and thin
